The requirement for this project was for more usable space in a large home that structure is letting it down, which is a common issue for older properties that just don’t fit into modern family living. The scheme transformed the existing chalet bungalow and updated the existing rear extension into an open plan kitchen diner and family room celebrating the height of the existing construction by providing a double heigh space that opens to the garden.
